Active Alliance
We are convinced that almost everyone can contribute to promoting internal and external security and resilience for Germany and Europe.
As long as you are willing to do so.
As a member of our security alliance, you automatically contribute to this cause, even as a passive member. The same applies, of course, to our financial sponsors.
There are, of course, many other ways to get involved outside of our association.
Online, within your family, among your friends and acquaintances, in your own city or community, in political parties or in dialogue with them, in organisations, initiatives, and groups.
Or simply write to us at mitmachen (at) sicherheits-allianz.de, and we will help you come up with suitable suggestions on how you can do more for security.
It’s in your hands!
In Our Association
In and with our security alliance, you can:
- Become a member: By becoming a passive member, you automatically support all our activities and initiatives and help strengthen our voice.
- Run for a position on the board or in the cash audit.
- Join our regular video conferences (held monthly, with sessions open to the public and members-only).
- Come to our local or regional group meetings (already held in Berlin and Bavaria) or start one in your city or region. We will support you.
- Working Groups: Contribute to our working groups dedicated to exchange and to the (further) development of our content across various policy areas and regional priorities, specific topics such as petitions, target groups like public broadcasting, as well as practical matters such as IT and design.
- Advisory boards: Experts with at least five years of scientific and/or professional experience or equivalent qualifications in the relevant field can participate in our planned advisory boards.
- European Military Fitness: We train in fitness and martial arts in public spaces to increase our defence capabilities and deterrence. Join us!
- Sponsors: Donate to our security alliance so that we can fight even more actively for greater security.
In Your Personal Environment
Become Active in Your Personal Environment
- Stand up for our democracy and constitution in your personal circles, and raise awareness of the dangers of autocracy. The rights and freedoms we enjoy in Germany and the European Union are not to be taken for granted – they are precious and worth protecting. It is worth fighting for them. In times when democracy itself is under attack from aggressive autocracies, we as democrats must respond actively and contribute to our defence to preserve everything that has been achieved in terms of freedom, democracy, rule of law, human rights, quality of life, and security. It is imperative to talk about what dictatorship means – both in the past and today. If you or your close family members or friends have experienced dictatorship and therefore value democracy particularly highly, please share these experiences within your family and social environment.
- Increase Your Resilience: Follow the recommendations of the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) for emergency preparedness – including, among other things, keeping a supply of food and other essential items. Further information can be found here: https://www.bbk.bund.de/EN/Home/home_node.html
- Enhance Your IT Security: Take precautions such as replacing US IT products with security-focused European alternatives, using a VPN, installing regular updates, and relying on a trusted German or European antivirus program.
- Cash & Precious Metals: It is advisable to keep enough cash for at least 1–2 weeks or even several months, in order to remain able to pay in case of emergencies or crises – independently of the internet or power supply. Precious metals, such as gold and silver (in the form of coins or CombiBars), can also help maintain liquidity during times of crisis. Please note: secure storage is essential, and there is always a risk of theft or loss. The Alliance accepts no liability for this.
- Volunteer Service: Consider serving in the voluntary fire brigade or in the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW).
- Shelters: Find out whether there is a bunker, air-raid shelter, or equivalent substitute facility in your area.
- Self-Defence: Take a self-defence course to increase your personal security.
For Internal Security
Become active in strengthening internal security:
- Report crimes and file charges with the police.
- Report suspected anti-constitutional or extremist activities to the German domestic intelligence services.
- Support the demand to ban all anti-constitutional parties and organisations, regardless of their size or electoral success. Call on the Federal Government, the Bundestag, and the Bundesrat to initiate ban proceedings before the Federal Constitutional Court.
- Secure your home, vehicles, and bicycles according to police recommendations.
- Demand stronger measures from the police, public administration, authorities, politicians, and parties — against crime and for greater security, as well as more effective action against espionage, sabotage, and subversion.
For External Security
Become active in strengthening external security and defence capability:
- Support Ukraine in its defence, as its struggle protects all of Europe from Russian aggression.
- Serve as a soldier or reservist in the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr).
- Invest in the German and European defence industry.
- Call on the Federal Government, Members of the Bundestag, and political parties to expand the planned growth of the Bundeswehr — including the reintroduction of conscription, increased armament, more deployments of German troops for deterrence on NATO’s eastern flank close to the Russian border (especially in Estonia and Latvia), and a significant further increase in defence production in Germany and Europe.
